"The Misguided Star"

Dan Din is escorted out of the stronghold for the hostage exchange with Comrade Roong, amidst escalating tension between Comrade Yue and Comrade Fah. Their conflict reaches a boiling point after Comrade Yue explodes in emotion to protect Ravin, leading to a violent clash between them. Meanwhile, Ravin’s malaria flares up, causing him to lose consciousness deep within the jungle. Seizing the opportunity, Dan Din negotiates with Comrade Yue, begging to take the critically ill Ravin back to the city for proper medical treatment.

Comrade Yue is torn apart by an agonizing choice, caught between his revolutionary ideals, his past vengeance against Ravin’s family, and the profound love he holds for Ravin with all his heart. Ultimately, upon hearing the unconscious Ravin deliriously whispering his love for him, Comrade Yue decides to whisper back "I love you" for the very first time. With a breaking heart, he chooses to surrender Ravin to Dan Din to save the life of the man he loves most—even if it means a tearful parting, with no certainty they will ever meet again.
